SOMETIMES MEANWHILE…

Dear Boys and Girls and Toys and Whirls:

Some announcements and pronouncements from the PickNickedLips of the Nodding God.

THE DELAYS IN SENDING OUT THE PRE-ORDERED C93 T-SHIRTS AND TOTES

Firstly, my and our apologies for the long, long delay in sending out the t-shirts, tote bags and belt buckles.

The sudden death of my mum has obviously impacted hugely on my projects and my backlog of delayed productions.

I have also been overwhelmed with projects and deadlines, and have begun to realise I have been too ambitious in the planned time-scale of releases.

I realise now that pre-orders on such items is not a good idea, so it is very unlikely that we will be doing this again. If we make more t-shirts in the future, we will just do a small number on a first-come, first-served basis. The idea behind pre-orders was to ensure that we made the right amount of sizes in male and female, so that everyone could get exactly the style and size they wanted.

The t-shirts are now with our screen-printer, and we hope to receive them in the next couple of weeks, after which they will be sent out immediately.

With the tote bags, the particular bag I wanted is out of stock and the replacement stock which we have ordered—won’t be in for another 8 weeks. So everyone who ordered that tote bag will be getting a free special tote bag, with a different design, as an apology for the increased delay. This design will not be available for purchase. And when the stock for the tote bag that was ordered arrives, we will then send out that tote bag too.

The belt-buckles have arrived, and will be sent out with the t-shirt and tote orders as soon as those latter items come to us.

Thank you for your understanding and patience and of course requests for repayments if people don’t wish to wait will be acted on immediately.

C93: HER GHOST SINGS SPHERES

For those who ordered in advance the two editions of this album (both of which are sold out), recording starts in November. It will be sent out as soon as the album and the accompanying items are finished. I hope this will be this year, but there is a chance production could go into early 2017. If anyone wishes to cancel their order and receive a refund, please let us know and we will refund you immediately and make the copy available to others when the online shop reopens.

THE MOONS AT YOUR DOOR 3LP BY C93

These have now all been sent out. Thank you for your patience. If we find any remaining copies after our stock check, we will add them to the online shop when it reopens.

THE CLOSURE AND REOPENING OF THE ONLINE SHOP

When the online shop reopens, it will be run by a close friend of mine. He will be dealing with all orders and I will no longer be involved with the shop except in an advisory way.

2017 AND THE MOONS AND RUINS

I will be withdrawing from now on for a while to concentrate on recording Her Ghost Sings Spheres. I will then skip and trip with C93 into our new album, which we hope will be released in the Autumn Fall of 2017. There will be Channellings in the United Kingdom, Europe and possibly North America to coincide with the release of the album.

As well as the new C93 album, I hope to finally publish my edition of Count Stenbock’s Collected Works. She is almost finished, but needs the final countdown on her. A successor to The Moons At Your Door, my anthology of stories that have influenced me and C93, will be published next year. I will also continue with my Akkadian studies and translations. And pray to the Aleph for MORE MORE MORE TIME.

DAVID TIBET AND ADAM LOVASZ: THE SYSTEM OF ABSENTOLOGY

I was touched and honoured to be asked by the philosopher Adam Lovasz to write a brief text of praise for his tricky, troubling and fascinating new book The System of Absentology which is s now available for preorder here. I recommend this lovely and challenging book utterly!

My text says:

“The Hidden God plays hide and seek. Can one capture the net-weaver with words? This Trickster god is a tricky god, whose shapes shift and whose faces vanish when one tries to define them. Adam Lovasz has dedicated most of his heart, and much of his work, attempting to evoke the unsayable with words of rare beauty and passion. One cannot define this Hidden God, who created all definitions with invisible escapes. But if he or she or it or they cannot be defined, they can be surrounded and seen, sometimes darkly, but sometimes as bright as a butterfly. Adam Lovasz has drawn those shapes and faces the Hidden God channels, and has taken the clearest photographs of ghosts that I have seen for a long, long time. This is a gorgeous, and disconcerting, book.”

And in Adam's own words:

“Philosophy rendered open to the self-contained One-Zero is what we term „absentology”. This book is a presentation of our system of philosophy, an intensive and chaotic investigation into absence and absent presences. „The System of Absentology” is an experiment in discursive openness, drawing on a diverse range of sources, such as studies on decomposition, Jean-Luc Marion’s philosophy, mysticism and sci-fi horror films. Absentology seeks to unearth the underlying emptiness and purposelessness of the universe, while also giving us an ethical mode of existing within a context of universal foreclosure and abandonment. We must liberate ourselves from attachment to both outmoded philosophical categories and immanence itself. Only by eliminating the chains of desire that enslave us can we hope for complete obliteration, annihilation-without-remainder. Absentology is therefore both an analytical and soteriological tool, a method of investigation and emancipation.”

DANIEL WILSON: RADIONICS RADIO

I am VERY much enjoying Daniel Wilson's new album RADIONICS RADIO. Highly recommended by me—almost like a AutumnStarFish and lovelier still! Buy Now, Brown Cow. Thank you Daniel for this! It can be bought here, and should be.
