“Happy Christmass And New Year”, Sings The Hole Of The Pit...

Dear all:

Firstly, Happy ChristMass and New Year to you ALL!

Secondly, for 2019 I will be concentrating on the forthcoming new C93 album, and more Channellings by C93, as well as continuing my studies of Akkadian, Ugaritic, and Biblical Hebrew.

Thirdly, I will be re-recording HER GHOST SINGS SPHERES for the fourth, and I hope final, time. I am sorry for the huge delay in the release of this GhostAlbum. It will appear next year. I am grateful for the patience shown by all those who have ordered it so long ago. If anyone wants to cancel their order and receive a refund, please let us know and we will do so immediately.

I would like to state again that, because of the pressure on me from my many projects, and their ferocious deadlines, I cannot inscribe items to individuals. The only signed items available are those in signed editions. Furthermore, I do not myself do the mail-order, so do not necessarily see all emails sent to me or the shop.

APOLOGIES FOR ALL THE DELAYS—AND SOME SPECIFIC POINTS ON SPECIFIC TITLES—AND THE END OF PRE-ORDERS

I and we had expected that the 2LP reissue of SOFT BLACK STARS and THE STARS ON THEIR HORSIES would be available at the C93/NWW London Channelling in October, along with the Steven Stapleton & David Tibet single LP, Dead Memory, and the Steven Stapleton & David Tibet 5CD box-set, The Threat Of Memory. As it happened, neither of the 2 C93 items turned up, and the Stapleton-Tibet releases are still not here, although the Steven-Tibet 2LP, The Threats Of Memories did arrive. We now expect the Stapleton-Tibet 1LP and 5CD releases to arrive in January, when we will add them to the shop along with the 2LP.

There were also a huge number of problems with pressing plants and printing plants. THE STARS ON THEIR HORSIES arrived with a printing flaw on every single cover. So all of those had to be returned to the factory to be reprinted, and then have the vinyl re-sleeved. We then received the reprinted sleeves; a huge number were unusable due to another printing flaw. We then had to return 50% of the sleeves for reprinting… AGAIN.

This resulted in huge delays. This was totally out of our hands, and we apologise. It is as frustrating for us as it is for you.

As a result of all these problems, we will no longer be offering any items for pre-order. We will only add items to the shop when we have them in stock.

NATURE UNVEILED: AN UPDATE

I am sorry that I haven’t yet finished the NATURE UNVEILED 2LP lathe-cut special edition. I will be working on these over the coming holidays, and everything will be sent out in January 2019. I do have all the parts with me, but deadlines connecting to my LA art exhibition are bearing down ferociously on me, and I have scores of items to finish by the end of this year. I hope all of those who have ordered this item will forgive this further delay. Nature UnVeiled will, thus, be finally UnVeiled as the New Year is UnVeiled. There are a very small number of copies remaining, which will be added back to the shop as soon as I have finished painting all of them. Thank you again for your patience, and kindness, and understanding.

NEW C93 BELLA T-SHIRTS & TOTES & BADGES ADDED TO SHOP

We have added the remaining copies of the new C93 Bella t-shirt and red enamel Bella badges to the shop, along with a very small number of totes of THE LIGHT IS LEAVING US ALL. The image, and text, on the t-shirt is luminous. As usual, the t-shirts and totes are FairWear.

SIGNED COPIES OF SOFT BLACK STARS AND THE STARS ON THEIR HORSIES ADDED TO THE SHOP

I signed a small number of copies of the new 2LP reissue of Soft Black Stars, as well as the reissue of The Stars On Their Horsies, in white ink for the Berlin Channelling. A small number of copies remain; visit the shop to acquire them.

TEST-PRESSINGS OF SOFT BLACK STARS & THUNDER PERFECT MIND ADDED TO SHOP

I have a small number of the 2LP TPs of the albums Soft Black Stars and Thunder Perfect Mind; as usual, they come with labels hand-written by me, and in a screen-printed sleeve with the album title, and “Current 93” also hand-written by me; I also initial the sleeve with “DT”. These 2LP albums are £45 each plus P&P.

ALL RUSSIAN ORDERS MUST FROM NOW ON CHOOSE INSURED SHIPPING

Approximately 50% of our orders to Russia don’t arrive to the customer. We unfortunately now have to request all those who order from Russia to choose INSURED AND TRACKABLE POSTAGE. We cannot accept any orders that don’t choose that option and will cancel any orders, and refund the payment, which do not choose INSURED AND TRACKABLE POSTAGE. We are sorry about this, but we are losing so many orders.

THESE NEW PURITANS “INTO THE FIRE” WITH SECOND VOICES BY DAVID TIBET

I was OhSoHappy to be asked by one of my favourite groups, These New Puritans, to add some voices to a new song by them, “Into The Fire”.

Their press release says:

These New Puritans return with Into The Fire, their first new studio recording since 2013’s critically acclaimed album Field of Reeds. Into The Fire, featuring Current 93’s David Tibet, is available via Infectious Music from all digital retailers and a 7-inch coloured vinyl is now available for pre-order, backed with a remix by These New Puritans as Mick The Asbestos. The Into The Fire artwork is a collaboration between George Barnett and the award-winning photographer and director Harley Weir.

Here is the original version, and here is its remix.

COUNT STENBOCK OF KINGS AND THINGS EDITED BY DAVID TIBET TO BE REPRINTED

I am delighted to hear that Strange Attractor are reprinting the paperback edition of my anthology of Count Stenbock’s writings, Of Kings And Things. I am told there are a small number of the signed hardback left, which come with a Studies of Death tote bag. An interesting review of several new titles of decadent and 1890’s fiction, including, appeared in The Washington Times and can be read here.

COMPLETE BABYLONIAN BY MARTIN WORTHINGTON

I was OverMoon—yet again!—to receive a copy of the utterly updated and expanded second edition of Dr. Martin Worthington's astonishing book Complete Babylonian from him, and find that I had been thanked in his Introduction. Martin is an astonishing Assyriologist, and over the years I have been sending him some small observations on his masterpiece. I was very honoured indeed that he had considered some of my comments of value, and used them in the updated second edition. For anyone who wants to learn Akkadian—that is, Babylonian and Assyrian—this is the book. In this new edition he has also added exercises in cuneiform. I was lucky enough to spend time with him in Cambridge last monthartin polls, at the preview of the world’s first-ever film in Babylonian, The Poor Man of Nippur. Go here for a fascinating interview with Dr. Worthington, and to see the film—which has subtitles, for those whose Babylonian is a little rusty. St. Ania Goszczyńska kindly took some photographs of David with Martin and his book.

I UTTERLY RECOMMEND THE WANDERER, THE WONDERFUL NOVEL BY TIM JARVIS

I have been utterly captivated by the fearful and apocalyptic novel by Tim Jarvis. I cannot recommend it highly enough. It carries echoes of other writers, there works, that I have loved and have inspired me, yet remain utterly, darkly, original and utterly, darkly, magical. Find more about Tim and his work here; there is also a wonderful review by the wonderful Wormwoodiana here… and Look Behind You...
