HOMALEPH AT SLEEP IN THE HOUSE OF HORSIES & NEW C93 FILM

Dear All and High: Some more Peeks from the Pit…

Please also scan for more UpDates. In next week’s Friday 28 February UpDate we add all 2LPs, 2CDs, and bundles that we mention below to the House of Mythology shop, and on My BirthDay on March 5, an UpDate will be sent out with a link to stream the new single from C93’s ForthComing Album, along with her title.

Regarding FERELITH and FONTELAUTUS, my first 2 solo albums in a series of 5, the new ScreenPrinting is going very well; the picture below shows the progress on the cover of FONTELAUTUS—the cover of FERELITH is now finished, and will be sent, once FONTELAUTUS is finished, to the studio which folds and glues them.

Love To All From The Pit Into Which I Have Peeked Too Long!

C93 HOMALEPH SKIPS INTO NEW VIEW WITH 2LP & 2CD REISSUES OF C93’s HORSEY SLEEP HAS HIS HOUSE

I am OverMoon to announce the launch of our new label, HOMALEPH, in collaboration with the perfect House of Mythology and my dear friend and manager Timothy Mark Lewis, which and who will be dedicated to reissuing C93’s BackCatalogue in expanded 2LP and 2CD editions, designed by St. Ania Goszczyńska, and remastered by The Gorgeous Bricoleur from the original analogue and digital MasterTapes, including previously unreleased mixes and versions of some of your, and my, favourite songs.

Overseeing the project with me, along with Ania, Ossian, Timothy Mark, and the perfect Jake Gill of Mythology Live, is my long-known and very dear friend José Pacheco, who knows more about C93 than I know myself.

When I birthed C93, thousands of hundreds of years ago, I never dreamt I would become soon—oh so too soon!—60. And since I have not yet soon yet become soon oh 60, perhaps I still won’t get there at all, and receive the presents I so richly and twitchily deserve. So I write this now, in case of cursive curses, naturally.

HOMALEPH’s first 2 releases, which will be available for PreOrder from House of Mythology on Friday February 28, 2020, are HORSEY and SLEEP HAS HIS HOUSEPlease see the accompanying photographs.
Both albums are, as I mentioned above, released in expanded 2LP and 2CD editions, Each 2LP set is released as a limited edition in coloured opaque vinyl, as well as a standard edition in a different-coloured transparent vinyl. Both 2LP editions are packaged in a single sleeve with a thicker spine, with accompanying lyric-insert, as was the case when SLEEP HAS HIS HOUSE was originally released. The 2CD is packaged in a gatefold mini-LP sleeve, containing a lyric booklet. There is no special edition of the 2CD sets.

For both of these releases, the previously unreleased extra tracks added to the 2LP edition differ to those added to the 2CD edition—extra tracks on the 2CD edition are not on the 2LP vinyl edition, and extra tracks on the 2LP vinyl edition are not on the 2CD edition.

Please keep both eyes on and at House of Mythology’s ShopPage for forthcoming details of these first 2 HOMALEPH releases. Please note: these releases are NOT available from us—only from House of Mythology.

The Bricoleur, who is in charge of the entire C93 remastering project, writes:

“The scope of this undertaking is enormous. There are are over 100 tapes of source material in formats ranging from multitrack 2” tape to stereo 0.5” tape to ADAT to DAT to UMATIC, and to everything inbetween! We have transferred them at the highest quality possible, which in some instances is at 192kHz/24bit.

This wide variety of source formats is what sits at the heart of this remastering. People fell in love with the sound of the originals. It is that sound that I fell in love with too. Therefore my approach is to respect this and not to change it. This is about preservation and also, where applicable, updating the originals for formats on which they were not originally released.

Regarding the unreleased material, there is a huge amount of it, overwhelming at times, and yet also incredibly exciting as we do not always know what will be discovered. Again, the approach is to master them sympathetically and in a way that keeps with the sound of the original albums.”

The TrackListings for the 2LP and 2CD editions of HORSEY and SLEEP HAS HIS HOUSE will be announced in our next update.

Also to be made available, at the same time that the 2LP & 2CD sets are put up for PreOrder, will be a special bundle which includes the special editions of both vinyl 2LP releases, along with a C93 tote bag, a C93 print signed by David, and a 12” vinyl PictureDisc containing 4 previously unreleased studio and live versions of “Niemandswasser” that are not included on the 2CD or 2LP sets.

The C93 tote bag and signed C93 print will only be available in the bundle. There will be around 300 copies of the special bundle. A small number of the “Niemandswasser” PictureDisc—around 93 copies—will be made available for purchase separately to the bundles.
